Maintaining Excellence: An HIV, STD, and LARC Update
A CDC-sponsored FREE half-day course for clinicians, nursing and health education staff. This course will provide an update of STD clinical practices, information on HIV testing strategies and referrals, and guidance for long-acting reversible contraceptive (LARC) patient assessment and management.
What you will learn:
- HIV and STD rates and trends in Los Angeles County
- Updates on strategies to link newly diagnosed HIV positive patients
to care - What is new in STD diagnostics and treatment including information on emerging gonorrhea resistance
- Advances in Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) methods and management for high-risk patient populations
Light breakfast and box lunch will be provided.
