SB 623 requires health insurance coverage for various sexual and reproductive health care services.

HB 1697 (Perruso) - Sexual Health Education
HB 1697 requires DOE to provide comprehensive training for teachers and educational officers on sexual health topics that include positive and accurate representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual, other sexual orientations and gender identities, persons of color, and disability communities to destigmatize and promote sexual health. Requires sexual health education programs to include similar sexual health topics to destigmatize and promote sexual health.

HB 1675 (Tam) - Medical Care for Minors
HB 1675 permits minors to consent to medical care and services related to the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of HIV. Specifies that a minor, under certain circumstances, shall not be liable for payment associated with the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of HIV. Authorizes physician assistants, in addition to physicians and advanced practice registered nurses, to render such medical care and services to minors.

HB 1773 (Luke) - Medicaid Postpartum Coverage
HB 1773 appropriates moneys to extend Medicaid postpartum coverage to 12 months following the end of pregnancy.

SB 2624 (Clark) - Rural Health Care Pilot Project
SB 2624 requires the Department of Health to implement a telehealth pilot project and publish an evaluation report on the telehealth pilot project outcomes. Requires the Department to implement and administer a rural health care pilot project to provide physicians and nurse practitioners serving selected rural areas with an availability fee and reimbursements for certain expenses and submit to the Legislature an evaluation report on the rural health care pilot project outcomes. Appropriates funds to support the pilot projects.

HB 1634 (Clark) - Telehealth
HB 1634 prohibits insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations from excluding coverage of a service solely because the service is provided through telehealth and not through face-to-face contact. Requires parity between telehealth services and face-to-face services for purposes of deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, benefit limits, and utilization reviews.
