Making Trusted Connections with Teens via Telehealth

Event Price
FREE

Telehealth offers expanded opportunities for health care providers to reduce barriers and expand youth access to sexual and reproductive health care. A survey of teens conducted by Essential Access Health found that teens are interested in telehealth, but might not always know what telehealth is, what services can be accessed, or whether it’s an option for them.

This webinar will review how providers can more effectively outreach to youth patients to increase awareness about telehealth options, and handle sensitive topics, including how to have inclusive, affirming conversations, maintain confidentiality and obtain consent during a telehealth visit.

Who should attend?
  • Providers (MD, NP, PA, DO, CNM)
  • Nurses
  • Health Educators + Counselors
  • Clinic Managers
What will you learn?
  1. Discuss unique benefits and challenges of providing care to youth through telehealth modalities
  2. Identify strategies to navigate new workflows to support providing high quality care to youth through telehealth
  3. Describe effective conversations about privacy and confidentiality with youth patients
  4. Discuss what SRH services are best suited for youth during a telehealth visit
