Webinar Overview:

Cervical cancer and many other anogenital and head and neck cancers are caused by high-risk strains of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). During this webinar, instructors will provide clear, evidence-based explanations for perplexing issues and questions related to HPV. Participants will review the diagnosis and management of genital warts and the epidemiology, clinical diagnosis, and management of HPV-related cancers. The natural history of HPV, genotypes, and immunization efficacy in reducing genital and head and neck cancers will also be discussed. Strategies for effective referrals for people with invasive genital cancers, or those with pre-invasive lesions that present diagnostic or management dilemmas will also be presented. The webinar will focus a critical lens on the poignant disparities between various populations in the U.S. regarding diagnosis and mortality with HPV-related cancers and share emerging recommendations for HPV-based cervical cancer screening.
