Advanced Family Planning Health Worker Training (LA, Oct 2019)
Essential Access Health’s Family Planning Health Worker (FPHW) certification training has enabled health team members nationwide to provide high-quality contraceptive counseling to diverse patient populations for over 30 years. Health team leaders who have received FPHW certification, now have an opportunity to enhance their sexual and reproductive health counseling skills and receive additional tools to support team members throughout their FPHW certification process, with our NEW Advanced FPHW Training.
This training will help health care professionals interested in serving as mentors to team members on their path to achieving FPHW certification. Training participants will learn how to address common mistakes made during contraceptive counseling sessions and provide effective feedback. Finally, this new training will provide updates on the full range of contraceptive options currently (and soon to be) available, including the latest research-based effectiveness and length-of-use rates and possible side effects.
