Our name has changed. Our mission hasn't.
You've come to know California Family Health Council as an effective champion for quality sexual and reproductive health care for all.
For decades, we have been a strong partner and trusted resource for health care professionals delivering these essential health services in diverse settings. From the beginning, our work has been grounded in our commitment to expanding access for women, men and teens - to help them stay healthy, plan their families and their futures.
Our passion for our mission is stronger than ever and inspires us every day to meet the changing needs of health care providers and the patients they serve. As the health care landscape has evolved over the past few years, so have we. We have seized opportunities to build on our strong foundation of expertise in the sexual and reproductive health field to grow, innovate and increase access to quality care in new and exciting ways. The reach and scope of our clinic support initiatives, provider training, advanced clinical research, and public policy and awareness campaigns have expanded - in California and across the country.
That's why we needed a new name.
Over the past year, we engaged internal and external stakeholders in a robust process to develop our new name. Through this process we recognized that we wanted a name that says who we are and what we do. We also wanted a name that could grow with us as we continue to shape the future of sexual and reproductive health care in the years to come.
Starting today - California Family Health Council is now Essential Access Health.
Essential Access Health reflects the core of who we are and what we stand for. We believe that access to sexual and reproductive health care is an essential part of a healthy society.
