The HPV Vaccination Series: Improving Access, Addressing Barriers

This session will discuss how to best implement the HPV vaccine series in clinic settings.  Topics include background data about the vaccine in terms of its efficacy; the role clinicians have in discussing the vaccine and recommending it to patients; how to address common barriers that clinics face with successful provision of the HPV vaccine such as funding for the vaccine and options for funding such as VFC; improving the completion rates for the entire series; and the impact of AB 499 and other issues that impact access.
